Lipoprotein (a)

Research shows that 20% of the world population is affected by LP(a). LP(a) is a lipoprotein that can be elevated in some individuals, leading to an increased risk for cardiovascular diseases. LP(a) is genetically determined, meaning that its levels are primarily determined by your genes, specifically the LPA gene.
