Pharmaceutical research studies the effects of medications on certain symptoms or diseases. The research might involve medications that are already on the market, or those that are still in their study phase prior to release.
To protect each participant's rights and to review the study design, an IRB ( Institutional Review Board ) and an independent committee, is involved in every research project. Each study is also approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
