Dr. Seidman, selected to Philadelphia Magazine's Top Doctor List of 2002, is a native Philadelphian. He attended the following schools:
- Central High School
- Temple University
- Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
- La Salle University (MBA)

After completing his residency in OB/GYN at Albert Einstein Medical Center in 1977, he entered private practice. He is board certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Seidman has co-authored several gynecological articles on topics such as:
- Menstrual cramps
- Overactive bladder
- Yeast infection

He has also been quoted in various publications, such as the Washington Post, USA Today, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Philadelphia Magazine. Dr. Seidman lectures extensively on gynecological topics. He is married and has two children, one a physician, the other an occupational therapist. Recent additions to the family include a grandson and granddaughter.
